Instagram Will Not Alert Users If You Screenshot Their Pictures

Deep breath – your stalking can continue.

Earlier this week, Instagram released an update that now has everyone in a collective panic. There is a tall tale currently circulating the Internet that says that if you screenshot someone's 'gram, they'll get a notification (like on Snapchat). Here's the thing though – that's totally not happening.

Here's the truth. Instagram did release a new feature that will alert you if someone screenshots your Snapchat-esque DMs – you know, those new ones that disappear after a while. But, there's currently no feature in place that will alert your crush when you screenshot their latest 'gram to send to your besties in that group text.

Read Instagram's statement and see for yourself. They wrote, "Swipe right into the camera to take a photo or video, then tap the arrow to send it privately. You can choose a group or create one in just a few taps — and you can also send to individual friends at the same time. Send anything you want, from inside jokes to your worst selfies. Unlike other messages in Direct, these photos and videos disappear from your friends’ inboxes after they have seen them. And you’ll see if they replayed it or took a screenshot."

Today we’re announcing two updates: live video on Instagram Stories and disappearing photos and videos for groups and friends in Instagram Direct. Now you can send disappearing photos and videos directly to groups and individual friends in a spontaneous, pressure-free way. Swipe right into the camera to take a photo or video, then tap the arrow to send it privately. You can choose a group or create one in just a few taps — and you can also send to individual friends at the same time. Send anything you want, from inside jokes to your worst selfies. Unlike other messages in Direct, these photos and videos disappear from your friends’ inboxes after they have seen them. And you’ll see if they replayed it or took a screenshot. To open your inbox, tap the new paper airplane icon at the top right corner of your feed or swipe left. You’ll see disappearing photos and videos in a bar at the top. Tap the ones with blue rings to see what your friends sent you. In a group, you can see everyone’s responses — and who else has seen them — in a slideshow format. Then when you’re done, just tap their faded profile photo to send a quick response. Disappearing photos and videos in Instagram Direct will start rolling out globally today. You can learn more about today’s updates at help.instagram.com.

Moto E3 Power Best Budget phone review

Moto E3 Power *Unboxing* and Review. Click here for Video.

Lenovo-owned Motorola launched its Moto E (2nd Gen) successor dubbed the Moto E3 Power in India today at Rs. 7999, exclusively on Flipkart. As the name suggests, the company is touting it to be long lasting battery device, which can also quick charge for 5 hours of power in just 15 minutes. We went hands on with the device and here are our first impressions.

Upfront, the Moto E3 Power packs a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display which is slightly glossy, so attracts fingerprints easily, but having said that the viewing angles and brightness levels are great for any condition indoor or outdoor.

One of the USP of Moto E3 Power is its advanced nano-coating technology. It can handle accidental spills, splashes or light rain. But Motorola still  doesn’t advise you to put it in deep water, or expose it to pressurized water, or any other liquids. The company says it is a water-resistant device and not a waterproof device.

MOTO E3 Power *Unboxing* and ReviewThe back of Moto E3 sports similar design as the Moto G4 series of devices. It also features similar matte finished textured back and Motorola’s signature ‘M’ logo dimple below the camera. The back panel is removable and underneath there are two Micro-SIM card slots and a dedicated microSD card slot.

Above the display sits the 5-megapixel front facing camera and earpiece grill along with two sensors – proximity and ambient light sensor. The three touch buttons – Back, Home and Recents – sit within the display.

The 3.5mm audio jack sits on the top edge. The Micro-USB charging / data syncing port is at the bottom. The power and volume keys are on the right side and offer good tactile feedback. The left side has nothing.

The Moto E3 is powered by a 64-bit 1.0 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735p processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. Motorola has a history of seeding updates quicker than everyone, so the 7.0 Nougat should also be made available soon.

On camera front, the Moto E3 packs an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a secondary 5-megapixel front-facing camera. We cannot comment on the quality of these two as yet, but from the brief amount of time spent with the device, we feel that the two cameras can do good job in daylight at least. Motorola this time around have added quite a few new features like the beauty, panorama, live filters etc. to the stock app, so that’s a nice addition have.

The Moto E3 Power is a dual-SIM (Micro-SIM) device and supports 4G VoLTE. It also has a dedicated microSD card slot, so you have the option of putting in two Micro-SIM cards along with a microSD card for expandability up to additional 32GB.

The handset is backed by a 3500mAh removable battery with 10w rapid charger, which company claims can get you 5 hours of power in just 15 minutes. We did try the charging and it seemed quick.

The Moto E3 power is a slightly bulky device with 9.55mm thickness and weighs 153.5gms. The handset measures 143.8 X 71.6 X 9.55mm.

Overall, the Moto E3 Power appears an impressive all-rounder handset that will further take forward the popularity of Moto E 1st and 2nd Gen devices. It feels like a solid compact device with elegant looks, but here is fierce competition in this price segment and it will be really difficult for Motorola to handle competition, especially when it is an online-only device. But jumping to a conclusion would not be ideal as of now, so wait until our full review of the Moto E3 Power is out. Do stay tuned and keep reading.

Sonam Gupta Is Now An 'International Bewafa'

A certain Sonam Gupta seems to have taken the internet by a storm (probably without even realizing it) and it's spiraling out of control. Not that we’re complaining. If you find her trending on social media, don’t be surprised. That’s the power of a broken heart. People are writing ‘Sonam Gupta Bewafa Hai’ on Indian currency because that’s how we Indians deal with heartbreak. Whoever started this chain deserves a goddamn award because this is my current favourite thing on the internet.

It all started a few months ago, with this picture of a dirty, old ten rupee note that probably belonged to a jilted lover.

It was way more interesting than ordinary life, so people kinda played along.

It obviously called for posters to be remade.

Grammar Nazis dug up some more gems.

The matter escalated way too quickly when Sonam Gupta’s bewafai reached the new 2000 rupee note. Gandhiji found it particularly funny.

The news reached overseas and damn, Sonam Gupta became an international bewafa.

It soon became more important than the US Presidential Elections. So much so, that even Donald Trump couldn’t stop himself from tweeting about it.

At last, she replied.

“Haan hoon main bewafa…jo ukhadna hai ukhad le” she wrote.

And…the internet waits in anticipation of what’s going to happen next.

Find if your nearest ATM has cash ??

In what can be a breather for people waiting outside the ATMs to withdraw cash, here comes a website that can help you locate an ATM with cash in your vicinity.

www.cashnocash.com updates real time statistics based on the users' feedback and lets you know which ATM has cash, which has long queues and which has gone cash-dry.

Just log in and type in your area code. The website will display which ATM has cash and which doesn't.

https://cashnocash.com/
Since the website updates data based on users' feedback, one can update the status by clicking the ATM venue link and then selecting one of the three options -- cash, long wait and no cash -- to help the website get updated for other users.

Samsung New Foldable phone is the Phone of the Future

The company had to recall all of their flagship Galaxy Note 7 smartphones. But it seems the company has some big plans for 2017.

Samsung just registered a new patent, which shows that the company is making a new foldable phone that is something you haven’t quite seen before.

A special hinge will keep the phone upright, where it will appear like any other simple smartphone. But it also will be foldable, which will help in occupying a seemingly large screened phone comfortably in the pocket.

This design is quite similar to the concept on which the Surface Book was based on. The idea isn’t exactly surprising. Samsung previously announced that they would launch a foldable phone in March 2015.

This is not a bendable phone, lot like what Xiaomi is launching next year. This will be a rather unique concept that we need to wait and watch out for.

Petrol price cut by Rs 1.46 per litre, diesel by Rs 1.53 per litre effective Tuesday Midnight 15th Nov, 2016.

In response to global prices and currency fluctuations, the three state-owned oil marketing companies (OMCs) have decided to lower the prices of petrol and diesel from midnight Tuesday.

CM Kejriwal Left with Rs 250 in His Pocket after Demonitisation.

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, during a press conference on Monday, when asked by a journalist about how much money he had, laughed and pulled out Rs 250 from his pocket.
The sobering effect of demonetisation was felt by the Delhi CM as well.

On November 8th, Narendra Modi had announced that the government was demonetising Rs 500 and RS 1000 notes effective from midnight the same day.
Since then, ordinary life has been thrown out of gear as people have been queuing up in large numbers in banks and ATMs to get some cash.

Kejriwal tore into the demonetisation move by the Centre and asked for it to be rolled back.
“Modi has said this is medicine for black money, but he has given poison to the poor (sic),” he said.

He also called emergency session of the Delhi Assembly on Tuesday to deal with the cash shortage.
On November 11, Rahul Gandhi arrived at SBI's Parliament Street branch to exchange notes worth Rs 4,000.

10 Best ways to Spot a LIAR !!

There is no fool-proof form of lie detection, but using a little tact, intelligence, and persuasion, you can hope that eventually, the truth will out. These 10 signs will help you look through anyone who’s trying to take you for a ride!

1. They give out too much information. They reveal details that are completely unnecessary and irrelevant to the main plot. It’s probably their way of overcompensating for the lie.

2. They parrot a set of phrases or words multiple times in the same conversation. Their dialogue seems rehearsed. They fear getting caught so they tend to fall back on the part they’re the most confident about.

3. They make ambiguous statements that don’t really reveal anything. They don’t answer your questions directly. They twist them around and beat around the bush and steer away from the main subject.

4. We involuntarily cover our mouth when we’re lying, even if just for a second. So, if you find someone touching their face or placing their hand over their lips, there’s a good chance they’re bluffing.

5. Look for their body language. A man who has nothing to fear about will be relaxed. Someone who is lying would probably sit with their arms crossed against their chest, as if trying to hide something.

6. Shuffling feet is the most obvious one. It shows that the person is on the edge and the nervousness is building up.

7. It is said that someone who is lying would avoid eye contact at all means. Look for their gaze. Does it shift around too often? Are they blinking in a weird way? Are they trying to look away every time you look at them?

8. If you’re a good observer, you can almost always spot the nervousness on a liar’s face. There’s something odd. They smile weirdly, their lips quiver a lot, and their eyebrows twitch. If you’ve known the person for long, it wouldn’t be difficult to identify these signs.

9. Notice how their body reacts when you ask them a tricky question. When a person is about to lie, they make an involuntary head jerk.

10. Heavy breathing is another common sign. Look at their shoulders. If their breathing pattern changes, you’ll see their shoulders rising and the tension in their voice will be much noticeable.

There is no fool-proof form of lie detection, but using a little tact, intelligence, and persuasion, you can hope that eventually, the truth will out.

Mumbai's Air Quality Index is Worse Than Delhi Right Now.

Yes, you heard that right. According to predictions made by the people at System of Air Quality Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), for Thursday, the air quality index (AQI) in Mumbai was recorded at 243; while New Delhi fell lower than its previous days.

Mumbai’s Air Quality Index Levels Are Worse Than Delhi’s Right Now.

The factors causing this sudden, yet gradual, increase in air pollution for Mumbai is due to the ridge line; essentially a high pressure area that has developed 300km north of Mumbai—this is a common phenomenon that is said to happen in the winter. However, what isn’t so common is the amount of pollution emanating from this ridge line which is causing subsequent low ventilation.

According to Biswajit Mukhopadhyay, Additional Director General, India Meteorological Department, “Owing to low temperatures, these pollutants are trapped closer to the surface.” He adds that the pollution levels will remain at this level till the westerly winds from the sea dilute the trapped pollutants entirely.

Brace yourselves, Mumbaikars. We feel you.

Here's how Donald Trump' Win will Impact India.

It's finally out. Donald Trump fought a bitter political battle to be elected as the 45th president of the world's oldest democracy. India's past experiences with US presidents show that a Republican president is generally better for us than a Democrat one. But in recent history, Indo-US relations have broadly stuck to a steady path — starting with Democrat Bill Clinton to republican Gorge W. Bush to Democrat Barack Obama.

Here, let us have a look at what could happen to Indo-US relations under Donald Trump.

What India stands to lose:

Trump's 'hawkish' trade policy of 'America first' and his plans to renegotiate all foreign trade deals will affect trade treaties with India, too.

Trump terms H1B visa programme as 'unfair', and his stated purpose is to end the programme. If Trump wins, Indian IT stocks and IT companies like TCS and Infosys are likely to be the first victims of this policy.

He is often seen exhibiting a double standard towards India — on the one hand he has said India is doing great and on the other he said he would bring American jobs back from India.

Bringing jobs back to America could mean harsher conditions for entry of immigrants from India.

Trump's promise to reduce the US corporate tax rate from 35 per cent to 15 per cent could result in companies like Ford, GM and Microsoft rushing back to the US.

This rush of US firms will hit Modi's Make in India push.

What India may gain:

Although Trump wants to put stricter immigration rules, he also says he wants to woo Indian entrepreneurs and students to the US.

Trump criticised China throughout his campaign, described it as one of the US's top adversaries. That could make for an advantage to India.

He said he would label China a currency manipulator and impose heavy tariffs if China didn't agree to rewrite trade agreements.

He labelled Pakistan as semi-stable and a safe haven for terrorists.

This could mean the continuation of US' Pivot to Asia policy where India is seen as a counterbalance to China.

Trump's hard stance on terrorism could also result into deeper Indo-US defence and strategic ties.

And finally, closer defence ties might give a further push to Indo-US business ties as well.

Planning to go to the bank with Rs 500, 1000 notes? Beware!! The Income Tax department is watching you.

If you are planning to go to the bank to deposit cash in the coming days, beware. The Income Tax department is watching you.

Prime minister Narendra Modi dropped a bomb yesterday while addressing the nation through Doordarshan. He announced that Rs 500 and Rs 1000 banknotes are being withdrawn from the financial system starting 00:00 hours November 9, as a strict action against rampant counterfeit currency floating in India and black money.

Modiji has given 50 days, from November 10 till December 30, to deposit these notes to your bank account. Banks and ATMs, however, will remain shut today, that is on November 9, and will be operational from November 10. ATMs will not accept cash deposits, all cash deposits will have to be made from bank branches itself. There will be no changes in payments using cheques or any non-cash mode of payments.

THE INCOME TAX DEPARTMENT IS WATCHING YOU!
The Income Tax department will keep a check on individuals who exchange cash amount of Rs 2 lakh and above.
The objective is to make Indians tax compliant, eventually leading to higher revenues for the government.
The IT department has been asked to keep record of every individual, their PAN card details, and tally it with tax filing.
Accordingly, the department will impose penalty, which could be between 30 per cent and 120 per cent, depending on the source of income.

As per the IT department, the physical cash circulation in India is Rs 17 lakh crore and out of this, 88 per cent is Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes. Official data suggest that 40 per cent of black money is generated in real estate, while stock market and bullion transactions are other big sources.

In 2015, investigative agencies and the Reserve Bank of India recovered 6,32,000 fake currency notes worth Rs 30.43 crore.

In 2015, various intelligence agencies filed 788 cases of smuggling and circulation of fake currency notes, in which at least 816 people were accused. Also, over 43 per cent of the fake currency recovered was just from Delhi and Uttar Pradesh

Starting midnight Nov 8 Rs 500, Rs 1000 currency notes not legal, what you need to do
People who have Rs 500 or Rs 1000 notes in their possession can hand over the notes from November 9 to December 30 to any post office or banks.
TNM Staff| Tuesday, November 8, 2016 - 20:32

In an address to the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes will be illegal tender from Tuesdaymidnight.

Calling this a necessary step in the fight against corruption and black money, the PM said that the government will try its best not to inconvenience people.

People who have Rs 500 or Rs 1000 notes in their possession can hand over the notes from November 9 to December 30 to any post office or banks. However ATMs across country will not work on November 9 and in some places on November 10. All banks across the nation will be closed for public dealings on November 9.

Those handing over currency notes will have to carry identification with them.

The PM also added that fuel stations, airports and hospitals will accept Rs 500 and Rs 1000 till November 11 midnight.

The Reserve Bank of India has accepted the proposal said the PM in his television address and added that new Rs 500 and Rs 2,000 notes will be introduced.

The PM also said that withdrawal limit at ATMs will be limited to Rs 2,000 per transaction, however he did not mention how long this step would be implemented.

Corruption, black money and terrorism can come in the way of a country's robust economic growth, said the Prime Minister. He also said that terrorists were using counterfeit currencies and spreading terror.

"We hear stories of how an autorickshaw driver gives back gold left by a passenger in his vehicle. These stories tell how common people are honest. A few people engage in corruption for selfish reasons", PM said.

"In every country's history, there comes a moment which every citizen wishes to be a part of. But there are very few such moments in one's life. Today time is giving us that opportunity again. Every citizen can contribute now to this fight against black money."

"Your money is yours. You will note lose anything. The government will ensure that," said PM Modi.

What you can do with your Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes:

Change them at the bank or post office between November 10 and December 30.

Carry your Aadhaar card and pan card when you go to exhange notes.

You can exchange these notes at Reserve Bank after December 30.

A Smartphone with 12GB RAM, 1TB storage unveiled

We have already started seeing Android Smartphones with 6GB of RAM space and though we are presently wondering if we really need a mobile phone with whooping 6GB of RAM but trust me on this in the near future 6GB RAM smartphones will be the common playground for most mobile phone manufacturers and anything with 1-2GB RAM storage will be laughed off. When the Android phones first came out, it seemed like the 512MB of RAM, which they were then packed with were good enough for day to day usage. But times changed, Android Kitkat came with smartphones packing 2GB of RAM and  it was followed by Android Lollipop that came with 3-4GB RAM packed phones, OnePlus 2 and Zenfone 2 from Asus being the firsts in line. This year things have evolved more and we have already seen a few 6GB RAM mobiles

Turing Robotics Industries (TRI) announced the Turing Phone Cadenza in a mailing list, according to a report in AndroidPolice. On paper, it is easily the best smartphone in the world. The phone is powered by not one but two of the rumoured Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 chipsets, supported by 2 6GB RAM modules, giving the phone a total of 12GB RAM. The rear camera is 60 megapixels, and the front camera is 20 megapixels. Perhaps to compensate for the lower megapixel count on the selfie shooter, there are two front cameras included.

The phone offers 1TB of storage with two 256Gb memory chips for on board memory, and an additional 500GB available through micro-SD card slots. There is a 2400 mAh graphene supercapacitor battery, a 1600 mAh lithium ion battery, and a hydrogen fuel cell. Yes, the phone has three power sources, there is no information yet if the batteries are removable. The phone supports four nano sim cards, two of which can be used for expanding the storage, because, why not?

The phone will run on the Swordfish OS, which seems to be some kind of a fork of the Linux based Sailfish OS. The OS promises some advanced AI based embedded features, including a memory network and a neural network. There will be natural language processing built into the phone. There is something called “VoiceOn” technology, which seems to be able to turn your phone on and off with voice commands. Voice can also be used for bio-metric authentication, as against a retina scanner or a fingerprint scanner, which are used by any peasant. There is also “Advanced AI Voice”, which could potentially mean a voice based intelligent assistant.

We are wondering if there is enough space to fit all of this into one phone. The body is made up of liquid metal, used by Apple to make the sim card ejector tools, and and the durable Graphene Oxide. The phone is not a concept device, and the company plans to start shipping the devices in 2017. Previously announced phones by TRI have faced repeated delays, according to AndroidPolice, so this could just be the high end brother of the Freedom 251. AndroidHeadlines explores the possibility that this phone is a bit of a joke because the specifications seems to be just a wishlist of everything that people want in a phone.

You May Face A 3-Year Jail Term For Just Looking At Torrent Websites In India.

Remember the time you tried to ban porn websites earlier and how it outraged most of us? Well, you’re trying to do the same thing by banning my torrent websites. In fact, you want to ban the very idea of torrents.

You see, If you visit a torrent website you are committing a crime. According to the Indian Government, if you even attempt to look at a torrent website, you can earn yourself a 3 lakh fine and land yourself in Jail for up to 3 years. Their ban is so ridiculous that not only downloading a torrent file is banned, but even viewing an image hosting website like Imagebam is a crime. C’mon Government dudes, who the hell is making these lists and why the fuck is it so poorly compiled?

If you visit a torrent website in the near future you will get a warning like this:

"This URL has been blocked under the instructions of the Competent Government Authority or in compliance with the orders of a Court of competent jurisdiction. Viewing, downloading, exhibiting or duplicating an illicit copy of the contents under this URL is punishable as an offence under the laws of India, including but not limited to under Sections 63, 63-A, 65 and 65-A of the Copyright Act, 1957 which prescribe imprisonment for 3 years and also fine of upto Rs. 3,00,000/-. Any person aggrieved by any such blocking of this URL may contact at urlblock@tatacommunications.com who will, within 48 hours, provide you the details of relevant proceedings under which you can approach the relevant High Court or Authority for redressal of your grievance"

Most of these ‘compiled’ URLs are blocked via your DNS. They filter these websites via the DNS filter and block them via a list that is maintained by your internet service provider. You can easily bypass this by using Google’s very own DNS service. However, you can still be traced by the government.  Alternatives include using VPN software to access torrent websites that is much safer in our opinion.

Please be safe when you access Torrents in the next few days, you might just end up in jail and they don’t have WI-FI over there.
